Anyhow...
Sunday Class: AikiMiki
He worked on techniques from gyakyu hanmi (g.h.) katatetori.
- Kokyunage (iriminage)-forward movement like the way Sugano Sensei does it. Kind of bounce the grasped hand down then go up. Don't just go straight in and don't turn it into you.
- Kokyunage (zempo)- AKA tenkan forward roll
- Kotegaeshi-as you tenkan keep uke's hand down and spiral it down. Don't just hook your elbow over as you will end up keeping uke on same plane and you don't bring uke down off balance. (Kotegaehsi felt better today, but still experimenting with what I'm doing wrong.
- Shihonage-tenshin opening. Becareful not to step forward with your back foot when do tenshin almost just keep it in place. Also when your doing the irimi tenkan version on your step forward make sure you stay out of uke range. So, don't just step forward step off at an angle.
- Kaitennage (two versions)-Soto enter and kaiten (pivot) When doing kaitenage instead of thinking that your pushing uke's arm over think that your pulling it but pulling it away from you. Finishing that hip at the end before you throw will help acheive this.
